Market Spotlight
Today I will shine a Spotlight on another of our newer Official Potted Markets. This time we will be looking at Once Upon a Breedable Market and Auction.
Where Fairytales come alive and a bustling Potted Markets is found in the grounds of a castle, there are plenty of Elven Princesses around for sure

Hi Sadie (Sadie Blackwood) and thanks for taking part in this new feature for the Blog.
We want to shine a spotlight on the newer official Potted Markets and Auctions and learn more about them so that other players can find you and check out your Market.
Tell us about your Market & Auction and why you wanted to open one?
I love the Potted Community — I have made so many fabulous friends through this game. I had the sim (that was just full of my plants, not even a house) and decided I wanted to make a beautiful, fun place for all of my friends and everyone who loves Potted to feel welcome and have fun. And since I think I’m the Queen of the World, a Fairytale theme made the most sense!
What days and times are your Auctions?
Sundays at 6pm with #WorstAuctioneer Sniper
Anything else you would like to add?
Tons, but we are on a deadline here. 🙂 Seriously — or not seriously, I guess — come hang with us and have fun. I’m a nut, and I love to have fun and laugh, and try to make sure everyone has the same experience at our auctions.
One last question.. What is your favorite Seed?
Horns. Because (sing with me now) “Unicorns, I love them! Unicorns, I love them!”
Once again, Thank you Sadie for taking part. Be sure to pop over and take a look around http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Moonshadow%20Meadows/94/190/22

Some fun stuff (from Wikipedia) about St Valentines Day
While St Valentines dates back many many centuries it wasn’t until the 19th Century that the custom of sending gifts and cards spread through the English Speaking World, in the 20th Century the custom spread to other countries much like celebrating Halloween.
Latin America – Valentines is know as Día de los Enamorados (‘Day of Lovers’) or Día del Amor y la Amistad (‘Day of Love and Friendship’)
United States – On the United States mainland, about 190 million Valentine’s Day cards are sent each year, not including the hundreds of millions of cards school children exchange. Valentine’s Day is a major source of economic activity, with total expenditure in 2017 topping $18.2 billion in 2017, or over $136 per person.
Japan – In Japan Morozoff Ltd introduced the holiday for the first time in 1936, when it ran an advertisement aimed at foreigners. Later, in 1953, it began promoting the giving of heart-shaped chocolates. The custom that only women give chocolates to men may have originated from the translation error of a chocolate-company executive during the initial campaigns. In the 1980s, the Japanese National Confectionery Industry Association launched a successful campaign to make March 14 a “reply day”, where men are expected to return the favor to those who gave them chocolates on Valentine’s Day, calling it White Day for the color of the chocolates being offered.
Finland – In Finland, Valentine’s Day is called ystävänpäivä, which means “Friend’s Day”. As the name indicates, this day is more about remembering friends, not significant others.
United Kingdom – In the UK, just under half of the population spends money on their Valentines and around £1.3 billion is spent yearly on cards, flowers, chocolates, and other gifts, with an estimated 25 million cards being sent.
I find it fascinating how different countries and cultures celebrate the different Saint days and Holidays. Just reminding us that everyone is different and have a different way of life depending on where they are from.
Until next week, look after yourself and Happy Potting!
