Here’s a video version of this article, but there is a text explanation below for those who do not want to watch the video!
Seed Chances Chart
If you’re wondering how Pot Star Levels affect the seeds you get when harvesting in Potted, this guide will help! The chart above shows how different Pot Star Levels unlock different Seed Tiers and how cloning works.

Trying to clone a seed? Cloning is possible in any square that is colored green or yellow.
How It Works
When you harvest a plant, the game follows these steps:
- The game unlocks a Seed Tier based on your Pot Star Level.
- The chart shows which tiers your pot can unlock.
- Dark green = Most likely
- Lighter greens = Less likely but possible
- The game checks if your plant can clone.
- If the plant currently in the pot is in the same or lower seed tier as the unlocked tier, cloning is possible.
- Most pots have a small chance to clone.
- Silver & Gold pots have a 50% better than normal chance to clone.
- Elite pots have a 100% better than normal chance to clone.
- If cloning succeeds, you get an exact copy of your plant.
- If cloning fails, you get a random seed from the unlocked tier.
- If the plant currently in the pot is in the same or lower seed tier as the unlocked tier, cloning is possible.
NOTE: Potted does NOT release Seed Tiers – a big part of the game is discovering where those seeds are hiding!
Example Harvest
Let’s say you have a Bronze pot and harvest a plant:
- The game picks the Flourish tier – a pretty lucky unlock!
- Your current plant (the parent) is in the Vine tier, which is lower than the Flourish tier, so cloning is possible.
- Since it’s possible, the seed tries to clone, but it fails this time, just due to luck.
- Instead of a clone, you get a random seed from the Flourish tier – from the currently dropping seeds in that tier. This could be an LE or one of the normal drops in that tier.
That’s it! Higher Star-Level pots unlock higher Seed Tiers and increase your chances of cloning.
Happy planting!
