Winter Workshop Event
Over the Holiday weekend we were treated to a hunt at the Winter Workshop. The Potted Goddess-elves put together a great story for us to follow and were rewarded at the end with a beautiful seed. I hope everyone had as much fun exploring the sim as I did.
I have seen a few new names around since the event, so here is a big POTTED! welcome to you.

New Year Traditions
As we leave 2023 behind us and go hurtling into 2024 I thought I would just throw out some weird and wonderful New Year traditions from around the world.
I take no responsibility for these being right or wrong.. Blame Google! (other search engines are available)
In Denmark, it is customary to throw plates at the doorstep of the homes of family and friends. This is considered a way of bringing them good luck.
*According to tradition, it is believed the more broken plates a person has on their doorstep the more good luck awaits them.
In Spain, locals eat exactly 12 grapes at the stroke of midnight to honor a tradition that started in the late 19th century.
*It is believed to ward off bad luck and bring a year of good fortune and prosperity.
In Scotland, the first person who crosses through the threshold of your house after midnight on New Year’s Day should be a dark-haired male if you wish to have good luck in the coming year.
*Traditionally these men come baring gifts of Coal, Salt, Shortbread and Whiskey, all of which further contribute to the idea of having good fortune.
In Japan, it is customary to eat soba noodles on New Year’s Eve.
*The long noodles symbolize longevity and the act of eating them is believed to bring good luck and prosperity.
In South Africa, it is customary to throw old furniture out of the window on New Year’s Eve.
*This is believed to symbolize getting rid of the old and making way for the new.
I hope you found those interesting, there is only one thing left for me to do and that is to wish each and everyone of you a happy, peaceful and safe New Year. Here’s to 2024! Cheers!!!
