About the Recent Script Errors

Hello Everyone!

We wanted to update you about the recent “Too many llDialog requests” and “Too many HTTP requests” errors some of you saw with your pots and bowls.

After investigating, we confirmed that the issue was caused by external bots clicking large numbers of scripted objects across several regions. This overwhelmed Second Life’s built-in safety limits (called throttles), which temporarily block certain functions like dialogs and server connections when activity becomes excessive.

These throttles are part of Second Life’s normal protection system and are not scripting issues. Once the limit is reached, all objects owned by the same person in that region can be affected until the traffic slows down.

To be clear:
🪴 Your plants and bowls are not broken.
💬 The issue came from automated external activity.
🔒 We’ve asked our Official Markets to ban the relevant bots to prevent this kind of overload in the future.

We always support responsible third-party creators and tools that work within Linden Lab’s guidelines, but any automated systems that repeatedly click or overload regions are not permitted on Potted or partner lands as they are essentially griefing by overloading the sim resources.

If you continue to see issues with your pots after this point, please fill out a support ticket with as much information as possible so we can investigate. However, if you had the HTTP throttle or llDialog throttle earlier in the day, those should reset themselves and should be working now.

We want to give a special thanks to Streex with Foxtrot Breedables for helping figure out what was going on and helping us resolve the issue. He did a video explaining in case anyone wants more info.

Thank you for your patience and for helping us keep the gardens calm and growing beautifully. 🌿
